What this is

MonkLayer lets you annotate web pages and share those annotations. By using it you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind that company.

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us if they are compromised. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite into your workspace.

Your content is yours

You keep ownership of everything you put into MonkLayer. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, show it to the people you share it with, and process it to provide features you use. We do not use your content to train models and we do not sell it.

What you may not do

• Use the proxy to attack, scrape at scale, or circumvent access controls on sites you do not control.
• Upload malware, or content that is illegal where you or we operate.
• Share content that infringes someone else's copyright.
• Resell access, or attempt to work around plan limits.

We may suspend a workspace that does these things. A suspension makes the workspace read-only — your work is not deleted — and we will tell you why.

Paying

Plans are flat rate and billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe. Prices are on the pricing page. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the price of an existing subscription.

A trial needs no card. When it ends, the workspace becomes read-only until you start a plan. Nothing is deleted.

If a payment fails we will retry and email you. There is a grace period before the workspace becomes read-only, and your data stays intact throughout.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from the billing screen. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. See the refund policy.

Availability

We aim to keep MonkLayer running and will not pretend to offer an uptime guarantee we are not yet structured to honour. If you need a contractual SLA, email us and we will talk about it rather than write one into a page nobody negotiated.

Ending things

You may stop using MonkLayer at any time. We may end your access if you breach these terms, and will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data unless the breach makes that unsafe.

Liability

MonkLayer is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, because it cannot.

Changes

We will post changes here and, for anything that materially affects you, email you before it takes effect.
